Nearly 25,000 homes in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events impacted the area, bringing strong winds reaching 109km/h.

Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Damage

Locals witnessed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Humid circumstances were expected to linger along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
