Sir Keir Starmer is expected to urge allies to supply Ukraine with more advanced missile systems to hit Russian targets during discussions in Britain on the upcoming Friday.

Britain's leader will host President Zelensky alongside the so-called "coalition of the willing", comprising over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have agreed to grant Ukraine protection commitments once a ceasefire is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been urging for weeks for more advanced missile technology from Western nations, an action that Moscow has cautions would worsen the war.

President Zelensky is travelling from Brussels, where he conferred with EU leaders on yesterday pursuing funding aid.

"The sole individual engaged in the ongoing war who declines to end the war is Vladimir Putin," Sir Keir said.

Sir Keir will also declare that 100 further air defense systems will be supplied to Kyiv sooner than scheduled, as detailed in a multi-billion pound agreement reached between the United Kingdom and Ukraine in last spring.
